To create a fun and safe environment for children to grow physically, intellectually, and spiritually, every day.
Program Philosophy:
Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We believe that teaching and caring for your children defines our mission and purpose. Everything we plan and do in our program has the mission and purpose in mind.
Ephesians 4:1-3 “I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” We believe that our teaching and caring of your children must be lived out in our own lives. We are encouraged to exemplify humility, gentleness, patience, love and peace with one another and in all that we do.
Our Beliefs:
First Nazarene Childcare & Learning Academy is a ministry of Lansing First Church of the Nazarene and is open to persons of all faiths. We believe:
  • In one God- the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • That the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by divine inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian Living.

  • That the finally impenitent, are hopelessly and eternally lost.
  • The atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that who
Parent Participation:
First Nazarene Childcare & Learning Academy believes that family communication and involvement is a cornerstone of an educational foundation with the staff, teachers, parents, children, etc. Daily infant and toddler sheets are available for families as well as informal communication. Helpful links and information are available on our Facebook page, website, and in newsletters. Parents are encouraged to always share concerns or give guidance on their children’s learning and growth. We want to assure communication between home and center. Signs are posted on the main doors and/or in the childcare office announcing upcoming evens. For special parenting opportunities we will send flyers home with children, and post on our social media page. Parents are encouraged to ask us questions on any and all information we provide. Parents are welcome to visit the center. There are several ways parents can be involved in their child’s education.
